About Me

I am a fully qualified nursery nurse with over 30 years of experience offering post natal help, advice and support. I also specialise in offering solutions and support if you are having difficulties solving your babies sleep problems. Help is tailored to your family and style of parenting.

I qualified as a Nursery Nurse at Cambridge College in 1984. I am 56 years old and a mother of 24 year old triplets – 2 sons and a daughter. Before having my children I worked within the School Nursing team and prior to that I gained extensive experience working as a nanny and maternity nurse, mainly in London and also travelled extensively. I have experience of security-sensitive and high-profile placements.

I adore working with babies, and once my own children started secondary school I began to work as a nanny on a freelance basis and discovered a real need for help with sleep problems. I have helped and supported numerous families and have attended many training courses covering breast-feeding, reflux and allergies, behaviour and sleep.

As well as sleep solutions, I offer 24 hour maternity nursing and a night nanny service either as a one off or on a regular basis to give you the opportunity to have a full night's sleep and recharge your batteries.

On the 12 March 2015, my book, 'The Baby Sleep Guide' was published. It focuses on establishing positive sleep habits early on and provides parents with knowledge on how babies sleep, their sleep cycles, natural rhythms and how to gently help them to self settle. It is written in a concise way to take the complexity out of sleep and aims to be an easy and valuable read for time-poor parents.

I offer corporate sleep seminars and workshops and I advised on the sleep policy for Green Roots Day Nursery in Southbourne, West Sussex (www.green-roots.com).

For the past 12 years I have worked as a volunteer for Tamba (the twins and multiple births association) as a ‘listener’ on their help line for parents and carers of multiples. I support parents needing help with a variety of issues including sleep, feeding, behaviour and bereavement. We also offer information to health professionals.

I am fully insured, hold an advanced paediatric first aid certificate, full clean driving licence and enhanced CRB check.

I live in Nutbourne, near Chichester but offer services further afield and abroad and can offer help by telephone if required.
